 Who is not, but should be newsworthy today? |
Newsworthy doesnt have to be tragic, violent or intrusive. Yet it seems that we as a society made it that way. The more sensational, the greater chance of a front page or evening news spot. The bigger celeb, the bigger the story they will make.
People that are out ther trying to do good through themselves personally or there organizations are not considered newsworthy. Once in a while something slips by.. however that was only because of a good PR company.
I believe very strongly that we are becoming more and more programmed not to care, and the more we continually become programmed the more we accept or look for What could be worse?

Why do we even waste the time.. Lets concentrate on finding new ones that actually will make a difference to our children and futures. |
| What cause do you believe in enough to take action? |
| After 911 the world changed.. for a very short time. In 2004 I started an organization dedicated to making a difference, however every time a story was suppose to run... its got put aside for over exposure of criminal activity. Maybe if less time was spent on only the bad the world we wouldnt have to be in such turmoil. |
| For what causes have you taken action in the past? |
| I have stood for Breast Cancer and making a difference through promotion of a healthy family lifestyle. Now I stand for making a difference to mental health and awareness with a 2008 road tour across the u.s. Building ramps and access for disabled anglers and educating Non fishers to the joys and benefits that there families can experience. |

| I believe any book that is written about changing or bettering the world is one step closer to making a difference. |

I have created womenfishing.com and theoutdoorsgirl to do just that. By going outdoors and experiencing a sport that can offer many benefits to families. We will also be touring the U.S in 2008 and visiting 100 major cities to speak personally to the grassroots of America about the benefits of a healthy Family through education and inspiration. www.acrosstheoutdoors.com is just that.
